GHB dangers and bodybuilders

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Some athletes and bodybuilders use GHB, as some researches show that GHB elevates human growth hormone in vivo!

The growth hormone elevating effects of GHB are mediated through
muscarinic acetylcholine receptors and can be prevented by prior
administration of pirenzepine, a muscarinic acetylcholine receptor
blocking agent.

As certain succinate salts have been shown to elevate growth hormone in vitro,
being GHB is metabolized into succinate some people have suggested this
may play a role in the growth hormone elevations from GHB. There is
however currently no evidence to show that succinate plays any role in
the growth hormone elevations from GHB.

It is essential to know that GHB has dangers. High doses can cause:
- unconsciousness
- convulsions
- vomiting
- suppression of gag reflex
- respiratory depression
- death!

Effects vary between persons and are dose-dependent.

Well, I am. And during my piercing experiences I learned how to deal with infections.

It is very important to take care of a new piercing and keeping it from
getting infected is one way to do that.

Here is description of few steps that will help you avoid piercing infections:

  1. Soak a cotton ball or cosmetic pad in antiseptic.
  2. Press your thumb on the bottom of the earring and push
    slightly.
  3. Gently rub the antiseptic in the front of the ear, then move
the earring press it in and out so the antiseptic goes into the
    piercing
  4. Rub in the back of the earing next.
  5. Use a clean paper towel or tissue to wipe off the excess.

I hope these few steps will help you and will make your new piercing experience more comfortable.

Integral rice cooking

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I’ve received many questions about various styles and times for preparing integral rice. I know that you don’t like this answer but I have to say: ‘It depends’. Usually you will cook it at least 45 minutes if it’s real integral rice because it’s not polished like the standard rice. It’s a bit more expensive but more delicious and healthier. When you’re cooking rice pour 100-150g per person in a jar and 3 times as much water. If the water evaporates add few more glasses. After 30 minutes start tasting rice every 5 minutes. That way you can cook until you feel it has perfect taste for you.

If you would like to mix rice with sea fruit or some kind of meat you can stop cooking rice 5-10 minutes sooner than usual. It’s best to fry sea fruit or meat for few minutes before you mix it up with rice. Then you can add some chopped fruits, vegetables, spices, wine or even a beer. Think about what kind of taste you like and experiment. Good luck!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

So what is S.M.A.R.T. goal? Obviously the one which is not S.T.U.P.I.D :) And if you want to know what qualify a goal as smart here it is:

  1. Specific
  2. Measurable
  3. Attainable
  4. Relevant
  5. Timely

Goal should be as specific as possible, measurable so results can be measured to see if you’re on track. Attainable means it should be realistic, of course, relevant and time frame has to be set.

How to boost small company’s productivity

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

There are many important aspect of running successful business. Some of them are incorporated by inertia and some are not. Probably one of the most overlooked aspect is goal alignment. Studies show that a mere 7% of employees today fully understand their company’s business strategies and what’s expected of them in order to help achieve company goals.

Employees in weakest performing companies reported feeling confused as to their roles at the company, which naturally resulted in unfocused and therefore less productive work activity. These findings underscore the critical importance of effectively setting and closely aligning employee and business goals to drive the success of a company.
Aligning goals across company will lead to these benefits:

  1. increased operating margins
  2. quicker execution of company strategy
  3. reduced employee turnover
