Reading some of these comments… it’s just sad. People whining about getting no second chance, about Digg not “getting it together”… It really is sad. You join their site, you follow their rules - simple.

Reports are bubbling up that Digg has permanently banned over 96 users for running scripts that help them automatically perform certain tasks on the site.

Meh, who cares honestly? Digg is a site that gives far too much control to too many immature and/or ignorant people. When one guy or a handful of guys can bury a post for no other reason than spite something is wrong.

To those who got banned: move on with your lives. It’s a website, in the grand scheme of life it’s not at all important. If Digg was a huge part of your life that you just don’t know how to live without…well, you’re pathetic. Find another community of asshats, join them, and abuse their systems.

Heads are rolling all over. They’re banning everyone that is “suspected of using bots/macros/scripts” (except for the top users, who get phone calls and aren’t banned even when they admit to using scripts). In other words, if you digg too fast and get the “itchy trigger finger” message, you’re at risk. More social engineering from the dirtbags we made rich by using their service…

Grow up people and take some responsibility. Part of the reason for so many failures in the US is that crooks and fraudsters do not get punished enough for their actions and always get a second chance.
