Which is the best antivirus?
It’s never-ending debate. Everyone has different opinion and personal favorite. Surfing the Internet in order to find right answer only adds to confusion because many websites, especially in top search results, are actual affiliates and resellers of specific anti-virus. To earn commissions their reviews are quite biased. It means you could make wrong choice. So how can we help you here?
We are starting an never ending survey - poll where people will choose their favorite. At least you will have starting point to research more on each top voted anti-virus.
Please comment on your choice, below!
Feel free to pass this poll to your friends. The more opinions we collect, the more helpful this page will become. Spread independent opinion! Thanks!

NOD32 - light, reliable, low memory. Some might say its not a deep virus scanning but first thing is the user itself should avoid virus from getting into their computer. Too bad for laymen.

I sell Antivirus Software for a living and I have to tell you Gdata owns with its dual engine scan and integrated White listing. NOD32 and AVG are a close Second. I used to sell and like Kaspersky and their products but do not like the company.

This is non representative of which is the best, but in fact a show of what normal users are using. In my opinion Sophos AV is the best, as it suits both my work and home needs, however, I find that most solutions are down to the user’s habits, therefore it is more a case of ‘equipment to task’ rather than ‘one size fits all’. I wouldn’t mind seeing a good comprehensive and categorized test of AV solutions, however, I can guarantee that whilst AVG suits most users needs, AVG is not the best AV solution by a long shot.

I am a total computer guy and i have tried most of the so called great AVs,but i guess ther is nothing to beat Nod32.It is light on resources and does a great job of Detection and cleaning. The firewall is an added advantage and is good too.

Avira AntiVir is the best because it usually scores the most accurate detections with few false detections in antivirus comparisons.
